Baby People

Baby People

Baby People’s educational work covers everything from one-off workshops to full academic placements. We regularly work with children and young people from KS2 through to post-16 and specialise in working with those that may struggle to engage in mainstream education or have special educational needs.

Our flagship music production and lyric writing workshops teach from beginner to professional level skills, covering all aspects of music production and studio engineering. Basic maths and literacy are embedded within vocabulary development and story telling. For many young people, MCing and HipHop culture is something that they feel ownership of and lyric and song writing gives them the opportunity to express themselves on their own terms.

Graffiti and aerosol art can be a great way to help young people to express themselves and develop personal responsibility. The time and investment young people put into artwork on their school/youth centre has a dramatic effect on the way they see and treat their environment.

Our tutors are all artists themselves and work professionally in their field. They all have real music industry experience and include MCs, vocalists, instrumentalists, songwriters, producers, breakdancers and commissioned artists.

What should I wear?
