Year 11 Mock Interviews

To support students in developing employability skills, The Kingsmead School held a ‘Mock Interview Event’ for our KS4 students with a number of employers on 31 March 2022.

Seven employers from Derby and Nottingham, came to support the young people by giving students feedback in an interview scenario. Students had to complete their CVs and complete a mock application form for a job the young person has shown interest in. Employers then had the opportunity to ask questions and give advice and guidance. Evaluation forms were completed by employer and students on how the interview process went.

 

Students gained a lot of valuable information and was able to use those skills, to secure a Post 16 placement. Students felt that the opportunity to learn about various industries and the expectations around the employment was helpful and informative.
