CAST is an educational angling project established in 2002, using angling as a means to engage young people and stimulate an interest in learning.  In addition to angling, CAST also delivers sessions in Countryside Management.

CAST are directly responsible for a Country Park site with five lakes, three pools currently being converted into a fish farm and a seventy acre Site of Importance to Nature Conservation (SINC).  This site will present the project with opportunities to develop courses structured towards work experience, development of a work ethic, conservation, and enterprise.  A purpose built Eco Learning Centre will house CAST classrooms.

Our accredited courses have been designed with young people to create an exciting and enjoyable learning experience which also offers pupils the opportunity to develop a range of life skills.  The CAST team aim to support the development of a lifelong interest for young people in a safe, relaxed and non-pressured environment.
